中国 上海，2011年5月XX日， Emerson所属业务艾默生环境优化技术的艾默生环境优化技术（苏州）有限公司今天宣布2011第九届“艾默生杯”空调与冷冻设计应用大赛（简称：2011艾默生杯）将于5月XX日正式拉开帷幕。在过去的八届比赛中，艾默生杯以应用数码涡旋技术为中央空调项目进行设计为参赛要求。而今年，艾默生环境优化技术对比赛内容进行了两项重要调整：比赛设计要求从原来的数码涡旋技术拓展至所有的涡旋技术；除原来的商用空调比赛外，新增加了零售业和冷冻行业的比赛，希望借此扩大技术的应用范围，促进整个暖通空调制冷行的技术发展。

Shanghai, China May XX, 2011 -- Emerson Climate Technologies (Suzhou), a division of Emerson Climate Technologies, today

announced that the 9th Emerson Cup Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Design Competition (The

Emerson Cup 2011) will be officially launched on May XX. During previous such competitions, the

requirements of The Emerson Cup has focused on the application of digital scroll technology in central

air conditioning; this year, Emerson Climate Technologies is making two major adjustments to the

competition parameters: the first is an expansion in the design requirements to include not only digital

scroll technology, but all other types of scroll technologies as well; the second is the addition of retail

and refrigeration categories. The goal is to expand the range of technology applications and promote

technological development in the HVAC&R industry.

The Emerson Cup is one of the most authoritative and highly regarded professional HVAC&R

competitions in China. It has always prioritized energy efficiency and environmental friendliness and

promoted industry development towards higher energy efficiency. Mr. Don Newlon, Vice President of

Air Conditioning Marketing for Emerson Climate Technologies Asia, explained “Since its inaugural

year, The Emerson Cup has attracted increased levels of industry attention every year. This year we

are expanding the air conditioning category to include all scroll technologies, not just digital scroll

technology, in the hope of better demonstrating the features and advantages of scroll technology and

encouraging all-encompassing development and professional exchange within the HVAC&R sector. Furthermore, this

year’s competition not only continues the ideals of environmental friendliness and energy efficiency, but also

focuses on technological innovation in order to recognize more innovative design talent.”

This year’a competition is different, as the addition of retail and refrigeration category targets contractors and

distributors in an endeavor to encourage more industry professionals to develop cutting-edge energy efficiency projects. “At present, with increasing market demand for and attention on food

preservation, the refrigeration industry in China is now also rapidly progressing.” Mr. Mark Ng, Vice

President and General Manager of Refrigeration for Emerson Climate Technologies Asia, explains,

“The new retail and refrigeration categories in The Emerson Cup 2011 have been added with the aim

of leveraging this platform to promote application solutions with higher energy efficiency, greater

reliability and more environmental friendliness, to drive technology updates and advancements in the

refrigeration industry.”

2011年艾默生杯由艾默生环境优化技术主办，中国制冷学会、中国建筑学会暖通空调分会等相关单位协办。这项赛事旨在推动暖通空调制冷行业节能技术的应用和发展，并为行业优秀人才提供了一个良好的交流和互动平台。

The Emerson Cup 2011 is organized by Emerson Climate Technologies and sponsored by the Chinese

Association of Refrigeration (CAR) and the China Committee of Heating, Ventilation & Air-conditioning (CCHVAC) and some other organizations. The mission of the competition is to promote the

application and development of energy efficiency technology in the HVAC&R industry while providing a

high quality platform for exchange and interaction amongst industry professionals.

本届大赛的稿件征集时间从2011年5月XX日至9月15日，历时四个多月，评审结果将在10月下旬正式公布。本次大赛空调项目比赛分为设计院工程师组、应用经销商组和学生组三个组别，设立杰出设计大奖等多个奖项；零售业和冷冻项目面向工程商及经销商组，并设立“杰出零售及冷冻应用大奖”等多个奖项。此次比赛由全国设计院、高校及其它相关部门专家组成，评审准则从节能、环保、创新、新冷媒应用、可靠性等多个维度来评判。本次大赛奖金总额逾27万元，其中空调比赛中的杰出设计大奖金额为4万元。 具体参赛细则可登陆www.emersonclimate.com.cn/emersoncup查询，并下载申请表格。

Nominations for the competition will be open for over 4 months, from May XX to September 15, 2011,

and the results will be officially announced in late October. This year, the air conditioning category is

open for three groups; Design Engineers Group, Dealers Group, and Students Group, who will compete

for a number of prizes including the ”Outstanding Design Award”. The retail and refrigeration category is open for dealers, competing for,

among many other awards, the “Outstanding Retail & Refrigeration Award”. The judging panel of this

competition is composed of experts from design institutes, colleges, and industry from across China.

The competition evaluation criteria will cover several aspects, including energy conservation,

environmental responsibility, innovation, usage of new refrigerants, reliability and so on. The competition

prizes exceed 270,000RMB in value, with the Outstanding Design Award in the air conditioning category
