Analysis of Indoor Environmental Quality in some Domiciles and Office Buildings in Guangzhou City

By monitoring the indoor environmental pollutants in some domiciles and office buildings in Guangzhou city and analyzing source of these pollutants, this paper puts forward countermeasure to prevent the indoor environmental pollution. The result showed that except radon consistence, formaldehyde consistence, ammonia consistence, TVOC consistence, benzene consistence were over standard in some degree. The percentage of indexes is 2.0%~91.9% over standard. Furthermore, the maximal multiple is 1.07~13.9 over standard. The most obvious limit-exceeding percentage and multiple are formaldehyde consistence in domiciles with 91.9% and 13.9 respectively. The over standard of indoor environmental pollutant in domiciles is more general and serious than that in office buildings. The main sources of indoor environmental pollutant are architectural and decorative materials. Moreover, the unsuitable decoration contributed to the high indoor pollutant. The important ways to control indoor environmental pollution are to perfect lawmaking, enforce monitoring to architectural materials, establish perfect controlling and monitoring system of indoor environmental pollution, and develop healthy environment-protect products depended on technological advancement.
