MODELING OF MOISTURE TRANSFER IN POROUS BUILDING MATERIALS: A LITERATURE REVIEW

The paper first discusses problems related to moisture, the role of moisture in built environment, especially in the porous building materials. Then a systematical review of modeling and simulation of moisture transfer in porous building materials as well as the transient thermal and moisture behavior through wall components are given. After a comparative study, it proves that for better understanding of the moisture problems in porous building materials, moisture transfer potentials and the corresponding coefficients for porous building materials need to be further discussed.
