Characteristics of Indoor Air Pollution and Prevention Countermeasures in Shenzhen City

The indoor air pollution in Shenzhen city is of concerning and the contamination of indoor air in residential homes is more important than that in offices. The formaldehyde and volatile organics were the predominant pollutants, while the radioactivity contamination of Radon was rather moderate. The concentration of indoor VOCs in Feb. to Oct. is much higher than other months, especially when the indoor 1-month average temperature is higher than 20℃, which has the characteristics that it would become serious when the temperature raise and decrease when drop, but not completely in linear proportion.
