Prize-winning SBT solution in Mexico

The technical center and administration building of the financial group Santander Serfin, located north of Mexico City in Querétaro, is equipped with comprehensive solutions from Building Technologies.

Security was of utmost importance for the customer. The order included an intrusion and access control system for vehicles and people, with motion detectors, perimeter sensors, biometrical readers and about 160 cameras. Fire protection is provided by 1600 fire detectors and automatic extinguishing systems for the computer rooms. SBT also delivered a building management system with an integrated management station to control air conditioning and energy supply. The total contract – including the electrical installations provided by Siemens' Industrial Solutions and Service – is worth around 4 million US dollars. Not surprisingly, this project won a prize as the most intelligent building in Mexico in 2004.
