In china, the fan-coil unit plus fresh air system is the current method for office building air conditioning. With the development of social and economic situation , this method cannot satisfy demands in many cases .So we urgently need to find new ways for office building air conditioning in coming century.

According to authors' design experiences and studies in office building air conditioning field ,this essay evaluates fan-coil unit plus fresh air system and VRV、VAV and other systems by analyzing their cost , comfort and air quality. comparing the characteristics of different system for office building ,the authors propose variable solutions for office building air conditioning .This conclusion is useful reference for the office building air conditioning design.
