The Application of Light Scattering Dust Sampler in Indoor Respirable Particles PM10 Measurement

The measurement of respirable particles PM10 is an important part in indoor health detection. The basic method of PM10 measurement is filter membrane weighing method. In order to measure the efficiency of PM10 in public health detection, ministry of public health issued and implemented WS/T206-2001 that was the measured method of respirable particles PM10 in the air of public called light scattering method in may, 2002. The standard provides conversion fraction K of mass concentration of light scattering method which is used in public and make consistency between instrument’s reading in light scattering and filter membrane weighing method, so it solve a key problem of the application of light scattering method. The standard in proper scope regulates :“The standard is suitable for rapid determination of respirable particles PM10 in the air of public and in the air of other indoor”.So it provides legal basis for light scattering dust sampler in indoor health detection. At present, light scattering dust sampler is extensively used in all parts of the country such as P-5L2C portable microcomputer digital dust sampler and LD-3C pocket computer laser dust sampler. LD-5C microcomputer laser dust sampler (Fig.1) is a new equipment that is designed according to the newest idea of international dust technology.
