The Numerical Simulation and Practice of Natural Ventilation and Heat Dispelling of a Hot Workshop

The numerical simulation has been done on dispelling the heat in a hot workshop of a steel company by using k—ε eddy dissipation model. Regarding the heat quantity of the product line as an additional source of energy equation, the best scheme of ventilation method has been selected by calculating the velocity field and temperature field of the workshop. According to the measurement, the average temperature of the workshop fell down 5K and the wind speed increased from 0.2m/s to 1.6 m/s after ventilation reconstruction. The hot environment of the workshop has been great improved, accidents caused by excessive heat have been prevented efficiently and work efficiency has been enhanced.
